Ingredients required for making Moringa – Masoor dal Soup…

  1. 2-3 drumsticks (moringa pods), cut into 2-inch pieces
  2. ½ cup red lentils (Masoor dal)
  3. 2 tbsp oil
  4. 1 onion chopped
  5. 1 tomato chhoped
  6. ½ tbsp ginger
  7. Some corriender leaves chhoped
  8. 1 tsp cumin seed Powder
  9. ½ tsp black papers powder
  10. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  11. 4 tbsp crushed peanuts
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Water – as needed

Stepwise recipe for making Moringa – Masoor dal Soup…

Step 1. Wash and cut drumstick properly into small pieces.

Step 2. Cut onion and Tomato into small pieces.

Step 3. Wash Masoor dal properly 2 or 3 times with normal tap water.

Step 4. Take pressure cooker and add pieces of Drumstick, chhoped onion and tomato , red lentils (Masoor dal), salt , 1 tablespoon of turmeric and 3 glasses of normal water.

Step 5. Pressure cook for 10 minutes with medium flame and let it cool .

Step 6. Grind the grevy in mixture grinder and strain it with strainer ( you can add water for grinding if grevy is too thick)

Step 7. Take big pan and hit up 2 tablespoons of oil and add ginger garlic paste and cook it for fer seconds.

Step 8. Add strained liquid in the pan , also you can add water as per your soup thickness.

Step 9. Off the flame after 5 minutes of boiling the soup and add cuminseeds powder, black paper powder , green corriender and crushed peanuts,

Your Moringa (Drumstick)- Masoor dal Soup is ready to serve.

  • Serve the soup always hot or warm.
  • You can serve some bread with the soup.
  • Can store soup for 5 to 6 hours in refrigerator but do microwave before serving.
